New Home for Food Safety Company, Hollison Technologies
Owensboro, KY – May 3, 2010 - Hollison Technologies provider of products and services to the food industry to detect contaminants in the food supply chain, today announced that it has occupied its new headquarters within the newly renovated Centre for Business and Research in Owensboro, Kentucky.
In addition to providing office space and critical infrastructure Hollison Technologies will have a dedicated laboratory as well as access to the facility’s Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory due for completion later this year.
The Center for Business and Research is a 37,000 square-foot business accelerator and research facility which has been transformed from an 86 year old tobacco warehouse. It has been designed to meet the growing need for high technology space in the region.

Madison Silvert, vice president of the Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corporation who operates the facility, said, “We are proud to provide a home for Hollison Technologies and their noble vision of preventing contaminated food entering the supply chain and reaching our tables. Hollison is the first of many companies to move into the Center which will provide a critical mass for biotechnology and high technology in the town.”
